INSTALLATION

Lower Dome Installation

Align the viewing port (clear area) of the lower dome with the
camera lens.
NOTE: Prevent fingerprints accumulating on the lens surface
by holding the lower dome around the outer edges.
1) Align the lower dome viewing port to the camera lens
opening.
2) Push the plastic safety lanyard attached to the lower dome
into the lanyard tab slot on the pan axis frame (see Figure
17, Detail C). The tab must be all the way through the tab
slot to prevent the lower dome from accidental dropping.
3) Push the four lower dome mounting snaps into the four
snap sockets located on the pan axis chassis (see Figure 17
Detail A).

Lower Dome Ball Stud Positive Engagement

The lower dome attaches to the chassis frame via four ball
studs connecting to four clips on the AD1273 chassis. The
bubble is correctly installed when the shoulders of the ball
studs are in complete contact with the shoulders of the chassis
clips.
!
Ensure that the mounting snaps seat properly into
the sockets to eliminate any possibility of the
lower dome wobbling or dropping during a dome
rotation. Figure 17, Detail B, shows the correct
and incorrect positions of the ball studs in the
mounting clips.
Adjust the height (higher or lower) of the ball studs by adding
or removing washers to the base of the ball stud.
