3. Hold the hinge arms up out of the way and lift the
LCD sub-frame off of the phone.
NOTE!
4. Grip the portion of the main flex film that extends to
the side of the hinge and gently pull it towards the
ZIF connector on the LCD until the corner of the
flex film comes from under the portion of the inner
flip cover the wraps through the middle of the hinge.
NOTE!
NOTE!
5. Center the two hinge joints in the portion of the inner
flip cover that wraps through the middle of the
hinge.
6. Slide the two hinge joints simultaneously through the
opening in the hinge wrapping portion of the inner
flip cover. The hinge should now be separated from
the inner flip cover.

Be careful not to damage the flex circuit
when removing the LCD sub-frame.
Hold the non-locking hinge arm in the open
position when performing the remaining
steps.
Make sure that the two hinge arms that
mount in the flip assembly do not get hung
in their alignment cavities on the inner
surface of the inner flip cover when
performing the following steps.
