Using the Weight
Transfer/Traction Assistance
A hydraulic weight-transfer system is provided for improving
traction with the terrain.
Weight transfer is using the cutting-unit hydraulic pressure
in the lift system to provide a lifting force to reduce the
cutting-unit weight on the ground and transfers the weight as
a downward force onto the tires.
The amount of weight transfer is variable to suit operating
conditions by rotating the weight-transfer hand wheel as
follows:
1. Release the valve lock nut 1/2 turn counter-clockwise
and hold.
2. Rotate the valve hand wheel.
Rotate counterclockwise to reduce the weight
transfer.
Rotate clockwise to increase the weight transfer.
3. Tighten the nut.
