Folding the ROPS

You can fold the ROPS frame to allow access into areas of
restricted height.
WARNING
There is no roll-over protection when the roll bar is
folded in the down position.
Lower the roll bar only when absolutely
necessary.
• Do not wear the seat belt when the roll bar is
in the down position.
• Drive slowly and carefully.
• Raise the roll bar as soon as clearance permits.
• Check carefully for overhead clearance (i.e.,
branches, doorways, electrical wires) before
driving the machine under any objects; do not
contact them.
1. Apply the parking brake and switch off the engine.
2. Support the weight of the roll bar while removing the
hand nuts, washers and retaining bolts from the pivot
brackets
(Figure

3. Carefully lower the frame downward until it rests on

4. Insert the retaining bolts in the lower hole and fully
tighten the hand nuts to support the roll bar in its
lowered position.
5. To raise the frame, follow these instructions in reverse
order.
WARNING
If the ROPS is not properly installed or fully
tightened, it will not provide full protection in the
event of a roll-over.
When the roll bar is in the raised position, ensure
that both retaining bolt assemblies are installed and
fully tightened.
WARNING
If you are not careful when lowering or raising the
roll bar, you can entrap and seriously injure your
fingers.
G018089
Be careful lowering and raising the roll bar to
prevent entrapment of fingers between the fixed
part and the pivot part of the structure.
Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws torqued correctly to
ensure that the equipment is in safe working condition.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
Ensure that the seat belt and mountings are in safe
working order.
