In case of operational difficulty

Be sure the unit is plugged into a working electrical outlet and no other electrical device is using the same power source Another
electrical motor on the same circuit could cause interference with register operations

Check control lock switch to be sure it is in the correct position See page 36

Review the operating instructions to be sure the transactions have been performed as described in this instruction manual

If your register still does not function take the following steps

CAUTION When you turn the control lock key to the "PGM-1" position and unplug the register the memory of the machine is erased

If the printing becomes dim replace the ribbon as described on page 14 of this book If none of the above procedures corrects the
difficulty return the register postage PREPAID to the applicable service facility listed on page 58
For your protection the register should be sent insured Royal cannot assume any responsibility for loss or damage to
uninsured shipments Please include information on the difficulty experienced with the register as well as return address
information including name address city state and zip code The register should be carefully packed and adequately protected
against shock and rough handling IMPORTANT
retained in case shipment is necessary for service

TROUBLESHOOTING AND SERVICE

Turn the control lock key to the PGM-1' position
Unplug power cord from outlet
Reconnect plug to power souice
Re enter Program One PGM-1' as desired
Re enter Program Two ' PGM-2" as desired
Turn the control lock key to the "R" position
