Push the tray in by pressing gently on the center of the tray
until it clicks into place.
You are ready to use the disc.
Playing a CD or DVD
For information on playing a disc, see "Using Microsoft CD
Player" on page 121, or "Using the DVDExpress DVD Player" on
page 122.

Removing compact discs

To remove a compact disc with the computer turned on:

Press the eject button on the drive.
CAUTION: Do not press the eject button while the computer
is accessing the DVD-ROM drive. Wait for the system
indicator panel' s DVD-ROM drive light to go out before you
open the drawer.
Also, if the disc is still spinning when you open the
DVD-ROM tray, wait for it to stop before you remove it.

Pull the tray until it is fully open, remove the disc, and place it
in its protective cover.

Push the tray in to close the drive.
To remove a compact disc with the computer turned off:

Insert a slender object, such as a straightened paper clip, into
the manual eject hole.

Pull the tray until it is fully open, remove the disc and place it
in its protective cover.
