This section describes the mounting procedure for the Viper robot.

Mounting Surface
Mount the Viper robot on a smooth, flat surface that is rigid enough to prevent vibration and
flexing during robot operation. OMRON recommends a 25 mm thick steel plate mounted to a

can be installed.
Task
Mount the robot.
Install the Front Panel.
Install user-supplied safety equip-
ment.
Set the EtherCAT Node Address.
Make robot system cable con-
nections.
Install any robot optional hard-
ware.
Verify the installation.
