BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
2. Remove all packaging.
3. The Aquascreen® Filter has been installed in the spout of the Kettle
during production. If it has been dislodged during shipping, check
inside the Kettle or in the box. Install the Filter before using the Kettle.
See the Care and Cleaning section.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• DO NOT remove or install the Filter when the Kettle is hot.
• DO NOT use the kettle without the Filter in position:
- This may allow water to spit out when boiling
- The Kettle may remain in the boil cycle too long once the water
has boiled
- The Kettle may not shut off
4. Open the Kettle by lifting the Lid Opener. Fill the Kettle with 1 L (4 cups)
of cold tap water. Close Lid and follow the directions in the 'Control
Panel Display' and 'To Use the Boil Setting' sections.
5. Open the Lid and add 500 mL (2 cups) of white vinegar and let
stand for at least 1 hour or overnight. Discard.
6. Fill the Kettle to the MAX fill line with cold tap water. Close Lid and
bring water to a boil and discard. Repeat.
7. The Kettle is now ready to use.
