2.9 Configuration of a link grouping
The set values refer to the entries defined with machine data:
MD12510 $MN_NCU_LINKNO
0 corresponds to the first definition, 1 to the second, etc. from machine data:
MD12510 $MN_NCU_LINKNO.
Note
The following machine data need only be set for the prototype hardware of the link module:
MD12520 $MN_LINK_TERMINATION
It is only meaningful for the software.
The NCUs that are physically connected at the beginning and end of the bus must activate
the terminating resistors. This measure is necessary for the link communication to work.
The machine data below defines for the purposes of power up which NCU in an NCU
grouping will be responsible for generating the axis setpoint (master NCU):
MD30554 $MA_AXCONF_ASSIGN_MASTER_NCU
The machine data below specifies that the axis drive needs to be started during power-up,
even if the axis is operating under the control of another NCU.
MD30560 $MA_IS_LOCAL_LINK_AXIS
It is evaluated only if machine data required to create a link grouping have been set, but link
communication has failed due to an error.
Note
It may be necessary to increase the interpolation cycle due to the number of link axes and
write elements.
