3) HEAT DISPERSION PLATE
This plate is made of brass. As the underside of the plate should be in complete contact
with the heater elements to conduct heat efficiently, a plate which is not bent or irregular
must be used. As the upper face of the plate contacts the paper, it must be handled care-
.
fully to prevent damage.

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ACTIONS
When removing/installing the Heater Assembly, be sure to swing the heater stopper bracket
(mounted on the Copy Conveying Assembly) aside to permit free movement of the assembly.

REPAIR/SERVICING ACTIONS
1) CLEANING
As the upper heat dispersion plate is constantly contacting wet copies, toner builds up rapid-
ly. To ensure that the heater continues to operate efficiently, this build-up should be pe-
riodically cleaned using Premix as a solvent.
