5.5 Polycarbonate windscreen

► The 911 GT3 Cup MR Gen.II can be equipped with an optionally available polycarbonate wind-
screen. When participating in various series (e.g. Creventic, BelCar, etc.), the approval of the compe-
titor/vehicle operator must be requested from the series organizer.
► The advantages of the PC front windscreen are, in addition to the weight saving compared to the
standard laminated glass, the significantly lower susceptibility to stone chips and the resulting
cracks .
The exact mounting procedure outlined in the installation instructions
WARNING
must be followed. Only the adhesive system with all its components
(primer, adhesive) described there may be used.
The use of a multi-layer tear-off film (MTH541916) is strongly recom-

mended to protect against scratches.
Only microfiber cloths should be used for cleaning (inside and outside).
NOTE
Use only mild detergents.
The specified tightening torque for the additional screw mountings
ATTENTION
must never be exceeded.
