Replacing Hot Pluggable Power Supply Units

CAUTION!
When replacing a non-defective hot pluggable power supply unit in a
non-redundant configuration (only one power supply unit), the server
must be switched off first.
Ê Remove the cable from the installed power supply unit.
Ê Press the locking clip for the installed power supply unit upwards in the
direction of the arrow (1).
Ê Push the handle in the direction of the arrow (2) until it unlocks and then
remove the power supply unit from the slot.
Ê Slide the new power supply unit into the empty slot as far as it will go, until it
clicks into place.
Ê Connect the newly installed power supply unit.

Make sure that the power supply unit engages correctly in the installation
frame and is locked in position.
This is the only way to avoid the power supply unit being shaken out of
its mountings and damaged during transportation.
