Sunroof (if equipped)

WARNING
Never let anyone's hands, arms,
head or any objects protrude from
the sunroof. A person could be
seriously injured if the vehicle stops
suddenly or turns sharply or if the
vehicle is involved in an accident.
To avoid serious personal injury
caused by entrapment, always obey
the following instructions without
exception.
. Before closing the sunroof, make
sure that no one's hands, arms,
head or other objects will be
accidentally caught in the sun-
roof.
. Before leaving the vehicle, al-
ways turn the ignition switch to
the "OFF" position and carry the
access key (models with "key-
less access with push-button
start system") or the ignition
key (models without "keyless
access with push-button start
system") for safety. Never allow
unattended children to remain in
the vehicle. Failure to follow
these instructions could result
in injury to children operating the
sunroof.

. Never try to check the anti-en-
trapment function using fingers,
hands or other parts of your
body.
CAUTION
. Do not sit on the edge of the open
sunroof.
. Do not operate the sunroof if
falling snow or extremely cold
conditions have caused it to
freeze shut.
& Sunroof switch
The sunroof operates only when the
ignition switch is in the "ON" position.

To open the sunroof:
Pull the switch to the open side then
quickly release it. The sun shade will also

be opened together with the sunroof. The
sunroof will stop at a position 50 cm (20 in)
away from the fully closed position. Pull
the switch again to open the sunroof
completely.
To stop the sunroof at a desired position,
momentarily push or pull the switch.
After washing the vehicle or after it rains,
wipe away water on the roof prior to
opening the sunroof to prevent drops of
water from falling into the passenger
compartment.
