Clean the Gun Daily
Turn off the turbine air before flushing the gun or any
part of the system.
1. Flush the gun.
2. Relieve pressure, page 15.
3. Clean the outside of the gun as follows:
•
Clean all parts with a non-conductive, compatible
solvent. Conductive solvents can cause the gun to
malfunction.
•
Do not use methylene chloride as a flushing or
cleaning solvent with this gun as it will damage
nylon components.
•
Fluid in the air passages could cause the gun to
malfunction and could draw current and reduce the
electrostatic effect. Fluid in the power supply cavity
can reduce the alternator life. Whenever possible,
point the gun down when cleaning it. Do not use any
cleaning method which could allow fluid into the gun
air passages.
•
Do not point the gun up while cleaning it.
