ii. Press and hold the switch for the security scan function OPT1 on
the front of the product for about 4 seconds.
* The ALERT2 lamp may flash orange light.
iii. Verify that ALERT2 lamp in front of this product is turn off.
If the ALERT2 lamp does not turn off after a minute or more
after releasing security scan function OPT1, check the network
environment and try (ii) again.
The activation of this product is now complete.
If the ALERT2 lamp is not turn off, activation of this product has
failed.
Check the following.
• Can this product communicate over the Internet?
→ C onfirm the NETWORK lamp of this product illuminates
orange.
→ C onfirm the setting of the higher-level device of this
product (broadband modem etc.).
→ I n case the IP address of this product is manually set,
confirm that the IP address, the default gateway address,
and the DNS server address of this product are correctly
set.
