Failure

If your company does have their own maintenance department, repair and maintenance is allowed to be performed
by your own personnel. Condition precedent to perform independently repair and maintenance is an official training
performed by OMRON EUROPE B.V.
During warranty it is mandatory to report every repair action performed by the customer to OMRON EUROPE B.V.
or to an authorized distributor.
In case of any problems or general trouble that cannot be solved on your own and which are not described within
the scope of this manual, please contact your OMRON EUROPE B.V. representative and have the following infor-
mation on hand:

Spare Part Cables

All OMRON EUROPE B.V. linear motor axes can be equipped with different kinds of cable chains. Our standard
cable chain has a bending radius of R38 mm. With this radius, cables will last at least 1 million double cycles.
Optional: The linear motor axis can be equipped with a High Performance cable chain. Using this chain with a
radius of R100 mm, more than 10 million double cycles can be achieved.
After each of these two minimum lifetime warranty periods, you should replace all cables in the cable chain as a
precautionary measure. Depending on encoder type, you will need to replace two cables (power and encoder
cables) or three cables (power, encoder and hall/temperature cables).
