3.EXUP servom otor operation (w ith the
servom otor coupler disconnected from
the w ire harness)
• Disconnect the EXUP cables from the
EXUP servom otor pulley.
• Disconnect the EXUP servom otor cou-
pler from the w ire harness.
• Connect the battery leads to the EXUP
servom otor coupler (servom otor side)
as show n.
Battery positive terminal →
Battery negative terminal → black/ red 2
• Check that the EXUP servom otor pulley
rotates several tim es.
CAUTION:
ACHTUNG:
To prevent damaging the EXUP servomo-
tor, perform this test w ithin a few sec-
onds of connecting the battery.
• Does the EXUP servom otor pulley turn?
YES

4.EXUP servom otor resistance
• Disconnect the EXUP servom otor cou-
pler from the w ire harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1k) to the
EXUP servom otor coupler.
Tester positive probe → w hite/ black 1
Tester negative probe → yellow / blue 2
black/ yellow 1
NO
Replace the EXUP
servom otor.
EXUP SYSTEM
• M easure the EXUP servom otor resis-
tance.
EXUP servomotor resistance
5.3 ~ 9.8 kΩ
(betw een w hite/ black and yel-
low / blue)
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1k) to the
EXUP servom otor coupler.
Tester positive probe → w hite/ black 1
Tester negative probe → w hite/ red 3
• While slow ly turning the EXUP servo-
m otor pulley by hand, m easure the
EXUP servom otor resistance.

0 ~ approximately 7.5 kΩ

• Is the EXUP servom otor OK?
