Electrical fault characteristics
- Motor will not start up
- Motor starts up slowly
- Drumming noise during startup
- Drumming noise during operation
- Drumming noise in time with twice slip frequency
- High temperature rise at no load
- High temperature rise under load
- High temperature rise of individual winding sections
Apart from eliminating the cause of the fault (as described under "Remedial measures"), you must also rectify any damage
the motor may have suffered.
Take into account possible changes due to a rise in temperature.
