5.2 Stoppages

Measures when motors are at standstill and ready for operation

• For longer periods, where the motor is not being used, either energize the motor at

regular intervals (roughly once a month) or at least spin the rotor.

• Please refer to the section "Energizing", before restarting the motor.

Notice

If the motor is out of service for extended periods of time, implement suitable anti-

corrosion, preservation, and drying measures.

Note

When restarting the motor after a long shutdown period, carry out the measures

recommended in the section entitled "Commissioning".

5.3 De-energizing

Measures

Always refer to the respective manual of the frequency converter when de-energizing.

If the motor is stopped for longer periods of time, switch off the fan unit and switch on the

space heater (if fitted).
