If a patient moves or travels with the
may need to adjust the altitude compensation setting in the device.
To change the altitude compensation setting, enter the Clinical Menu and scroll to
ALT. Select Change (Left key) and use the Up or Down keys to choose the required
setting. Press the Left key (Apply) to select the setting.
There are four altitude settings to choose from:
0–2000 ft (0–609 m)
2001–4000 ft (610–1219 m)
4001–6000 ft (1220–1828 m)
6001–8500 ft (1829–2591 m).
For example, if a patient is at an altitude of 3107' (947 m), their altitude compensation
setting would be 2001–4000' (610–1219 m), as 3107' (947 m) falls within that range.
Note: Before calibrating or setting the treatment pressure, make sure the altitude
compensation is at the correct setting.
CAUTION
!
At high altitudes, it is recommended that the delivered pressure be verified with
a column water manometer.
If the pressure gain is used to increase the accuracy of the delivered pressure,
this relative change in the pressure gain will be transferred to the other altitude
settings.
