Corona Wires (Transfer corona wire and charge
corona wire)
Clean the w ires by follow ing the
procedures below .
If you do not clean the wires,
w hite streaks appear on copies or
image density becomes uneven.

Caution: When cleaning corona
wires, do not touch the
fusing section because it
could be very hot.
Note: When you clean the corona wires, be careful not to touch the blue
material (OPC).

Open the top unit.
To stop the top unit from spring-
ing up, keep one hand on it w hile
opening it.

Take out the sm all tool for
cleaning the corona wires from
inside of the copier.
You will find the round seal on
the back side of the cleaning pad.
