DJUSTING THE
CAUTION:
The phase adjustment must be made by a qualified service person.
To reduce the effect of picture roll on the monitor caused by the difference
in the vertical interval sync pulses of your equipment (cameras, power
supplies, monitors, switchers, etc.), you can synchronize the vertical
interval sync pulse of the video source (your cameras). You can use the
AC line lock mode to synchronize the pulses of your cameras with other
equipment, or you can use the internal sync generator when consistent
phasing is not required.
Sync modes:
Line lock: The line lock mode can synchronize all of the
cameras in a system by locking their vertical interval sync pulse
with the mains frequency of the power source. The same power
source must be used to power all cameras in the system for
consistent phasing.
Use the line lock sync mode for cameras being powered by
AC power supplies.
Use the V-phase adjustment to adjust individual cameras
when they are powered from sources with differing phases.
Note: Using a DC power supply will cause the sync mode to default to internal
synchronization.
Internal: This mode uses the camera's internal sync generators to
generate their vertical interval sync pulses.
Use the internal sync mode for cameras being powered by DC power
supplies.
To set the sync mode:
At the Camera Setup menu, use
the up and down buttons (
to move to the Sync option and
use the right and left buttons
(
) to move to and between
the sync options (LINELOCK or
INTERNAL).
