The SIMATIC S7-400/M7-400 is an environmentally friendly product. It is
characterized by the following points:
The plastic for the casing is coated with a halogen-free flame retardant despite
its high resistance to fire.
Labeling is done by laser (meaning no labels)
The plastics are coded according to DIN 54840
Fewer materials are used in this compact design, fewer components are
required as the result of integration in ASICs
The SIMATIC S7-400/M7-400 can be recycled as a result of its minimal use of
harmful substances.
