Unfolding the through-load ski bag and load‐
ing skis
& WARNING Risk of injury due to using the
through-load ski bag incorrectly
The through-load ski bag in conjunction with
the lashing straps cannot restrain any
objects other than skis.
Vehicle occupants could be struck in the
event of sudden braking or an accident in the
following cases:
if you transport other heavy or sharp-
R
edged objects in the through-load ski bag
if you do not secure the through-load ski
R
bag with the lashing straps
Only store skis in the through-load ski

bag.
Always secure the through-load ski bag
#
with the lashing straps so that it cannot
move around.
Ensure the following when using the through-
load ski bag:
do not transport more than three pairs of
R
skis in the through-load ski bag
when carefully sliding the skis into or remov‐
R
ing them from the through-load ski bag, mind
the sharp edges and corners of the skis
Stow the skis as follows:
when sliding the skis in, position the running
R
surfaces of the respective pair of skis
together
position one pair of skis at the bottom with
R
the tips of the skis pointing outwards
position the two additional pairs of skis on
R
the left and right-hand side above the lower
pair of skis with the tips of the skis at 90° to
the tips of the skis below
Vehicles with electrically adjustable outer

seats: fully retract the centre head restraint.
