Dividing recorded
tracks
— Divide Function
This function lets you mark track numbers
after the recording ends. The total number of
tracks increases by one and all the tracks
following the divided ones are renumbered.
Example: Dividing track 2 into two tracks.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly to
switch the function to MD.

Press MD D.SKIP on the remote
repeatedly until the button of the
desired MD lights green.
If the MD appears in the slot, press 6 to
load the MD (to the recording/playing
unit).

To cancel the Divide Function
Press p for the MD.
Press MENU/NO so that
"Edit Menu" appears.
Turn MULTI JOG until "Divide ?"
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
Turn MULTI JOG until the desired
track number appears, then press
ENTER/YES.
"–Rehearsal–" appears and the portion
to be divided is played repeatedly.
While monitoring the sound, turn
MULTI JOG to find the point to be
divided.
You can shift the point by 1/86 second
(1 frame) intervals.
To shift the point by second or minute
intervals, press 0 or ) so that "s" or
"m" flashes, then turn MULTI JOG.
Press ENTER/YES, when the
position is correct.
"Complete!!" appears for a few seconds
and the newly created track begins
playing.
