Note on the European Ecodesign Directive

The hibernate state (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface ACPI S4 Save-to-disk) is
not available for workstations in certain configurations. As a consequence, it is not possible
for these systems to switch off automatically according to the Ecodesign directive.
With a working memory expansion which exceeds the free capacity of the system drive, the
capability to enable the hibernate state (ACPI S4) is technically not possible.
With suitably large system drives, the off state is automatically enabled in the
settings with which these workstations are delivered.
