Setting user authorizations
Operator input can generally be enabled in the tab "Properties/Others" of the object
properties of the IUNIT and IEPH/IEOP faceplates.
● Yes - the object can be operated in process mode.
● No- the object cannot be operated in process mode.
In order to operate the object, the operator must additionally have the authorization. The
settings for the authorization level for each operator are made with the WinCC Explorer in
the User Administrator:
● Operator control requires the operator authorization level 5 (Process controlling)
● The authorization levels can be enabled as follows:
Create Batch faceplate from Template
In the Graphics Designer (WinCC-Explorer) there is a Template available for selecting Batch
faceplates in PCS 7 OS pictures.
1. Open the desired process picture in the Graphics Designer.
2. Open the template file "@Template_Batch.pdl" via File > Open.
3. Apply the block icon "IUNIT in order to display the unit allocations and the operations and
4. Select the block symbol in the template file and copy it to your process picture.
