An unknown picture is displayed on the
LCD screen or in the viewfinder.

Cause and/or corrective actions
• The tape has no cassette memory.
m Use a tape with cassette memory. (p. 75)
• CM SEARCH is set to OFF in the menu system.
m Set it to ON. (p. 33)
• There is no title in the tape.
m Superimpose the titles. (p. 61)
• The gold-plated connector of the tape is dirty or dusty.
m Clean the gold-plated connector. (p. 91)
• The tape has a blank portion in the recorded portion.
