Multicast audio port 1: to Multicast audio port 4:
As well as video data, the audio versions can also send and receive audio sig-
nals. The audio signals are sent in a separate data stream parallel to the video
data, which increases the network load. The audio data are encoded according
to G.711 and require an additional bandwidth of approx. 80 kBit/s per direction.
If you wish to transmit audio signals in multicast mode you must assign a dedi-
cated port as this is a separate data stream. Enter the port address of the
required stream here.
Note
Audio signals are only transmitted if the audio function has been activated
on the Audio settings page (see page 47).
Multicast packet TTL:
You can enter a value to specify how long the multicast data packets are active
on the network. This value must be greater than one if multicast is to be run via
a router.

Version information

The hardware and firmware version numbers are for information only and cannot
be changed. Keep a record of these numbers in case technical assistance is
required.
Hardware version:
The hardware version number of the VIP X1600 module is displayed.
Firmware version:
The firmware version number of the VIP X1600 module is displayed.
