Child Lock ( Parental Rating )
You can restrict the viewing/playback/recording
of channels unsuitable to children.
• PIN is required to change. (
Signal Condition
You can check the quality and strength of signals.
Press [CH W X] to select the channel.
• The channels you can receive are affected by length of the
cable that is connected to the aerial, etc.
• When the signal is too strong (red bar), reduce the signal
amplification at your aerial. (For details, consult your
dealer.)
Preferred Language
Select the language for multi broadcast.
If the selected language is not available, the
original language will be selected.
Audio Description
When "Automatic" is selected, Audio Description
will be set as default while watching.
• When "Dolby D / Dolby D + / Dolby TrueHD" or "HE-AAC"
is set to "Bitstream", the Audio Description may not work.
Set them to "PCM" (
51, Digital Audio Output).
New Channel Message
Set whether to obtain the information
automatically when a new DVB channel is
added.

Select the playback method of 3D compatible
video software.

You can restrict Internet access when
BD-Live functions are used.
BD-Video Parental Control
DVD-Video Parental Control
Set an age limit (a rating level) of BD-Video or
DVD-Video play.
• PIN is required to change. (
Subtitle Text
Select the language for MKV subtitles text.
• This item is displayed only after playing
back a MKV file with subtitle text.
Pure Sound mode
You can enjoy music with pure sound by
stopping the rotation of the HDD when playing
back the commercial BD-Videos, DVD-Videos
or music CDs.
• If "On" is selected, timer recording does not
start while playing back.
Timer Record Start Buffer
This function sets the timer recording to start
earlier than the TV Guide time.
Timer Record Stop Buffer
This function sets the timer recording to stop
later than the TV Guide time.
REWIND LIVE TV
Turn on/off the REWIND LIVE TV function.
Aspect for Recording
Sets the aspect ratio when recording or
copying except in DR mode.
• "HG", "HX", "HE", "HL" or "HM" mode:
If "Automatic" is selected, the programme will
be recorded with the original aspect ratio.
• "XP", "SP", "LP" or "FR" mode:
If "Automatic" is selected, the programme
will be recorded with the original aspect
ratio at the time when recording started.
• In the following cases, aspect is fixed to 4:3.
– When copying to a +R, +R DL and +RW.
