Make an emergency call
• If your keyboard or device is unlocked, in the phone, type the emergency number. Press the
Send key.
• If your keyboard or device is locked, press the Enter key. Click Emergency Call. Click Yes.

Volume

Adjust the volume
• To increase the volume, press the Volume Up key.
• To decrease the volume, press the Volume Down key.
Set the default volume for calls
Your BlackBerry® device uses the default volume for all calls, even if you adjusted the volume during
a previous call.
1. In the phone, press the Menu key.
2. Click Options.
3. Click General Options.
4. Set the Default Call Volume field.
5. Press the Menu key.
6. Click Save.

Make a phone call using a voice command
If you are using a Bluetooth® enabled device, such as a handsfree car kit or wireless headset, verify
that the device supports this feature and that you have paired the device with your BlackBerry® device.
1. In voice-activated dialing, wait for the sound.
2. Say "Call" and a contact name or phone number.
Note: To dial an extension in your corporation, set the smart dialing options in the phone. Then say
"Call extension" and the extension number.
To end the call, press the End key.
