This chapter gives instructions for performing an express setup. The purpose of the
express setup is to verify that the drive, cables, and motor work properly as a
system. It will also verify serial communications and controller connections.
You will connect together only the components necessary to achieve basic
motion—a drive, a motor (without a load connected), and a controller. You will
use a computer to communicate with the drive, and with the controller.
