Ice Calibration

Publication Number: 621058497INS
In order to properly calibrate the unit, the ice maker must have at least 15 pounds
(6.8 kg) of ice stored in the hopper. In order to ensure the hopper has enough ice
for the procedure, the ice maker should be run until the hopper has filled and the
ice maker has turned off. If the user does not want to wait for the ice maker to turn
off, wait a minimum of one hour from the time that the ice maker turns on before
calibrating the ice.
To access the Calibration Screen, go to the Menu Selection and select the Ingredi-
ent Calibration button in the second row. This is only available to managers and
service technicians.
To calibrate the ice, select the Ice button on the screen and perform the procedure
in Table 6. To calibrate the ice, a scale, cup and bucket are needed.
Step
1
Tare a cup on the scale and place it under the dispense nozzle.
2
Press the Ice button to begin the ice calibration procedure (see Figure
20).
3
Ice dispenses into the cup in two drops. Once the ice is in the cup, place
it on the scale. Enter the weight of the ice into the machine, where
prompted on the UI. Make sure proper units of measure are used
(ounces/grams). Units of measure can be changed in the settings menu,
as shown in Figure 21.
4
Empty the ice from the cup into the bucket, tare the cup again and
repeat Steps 2 and 3 until calibration is completed.
NOTE: Ice calibration takes a minimum of 20 dispenses/entries (or more)
for completion. This process is longer than a normal ingredient cal-
ibration. Do not cancel the procedure in the middle, or all 20 dis-
penses must be redone.
