Power Supply

Turning On the Power

Turn on the power of the extension units before turning on the power
of the network disk recorder.

Insert the power plug to an outlet.
120 V AC, 60 Hz for NTSC model
220 V - 240 V AC, 50 Hz for PAL model
• Make sure the power source matches the power
requirement of the model in use.

Turn on the [POWER] switch on the rear of the extension
unit.
The operate indicator lights and extension unit/HDD
check (system check) begins.
During system check, [WJ-HDE400] appears on the LCD.
When the system check is finished, the Operational mode
screen appears. (page 19)

Turning Off the Power

Turn off the power of the network disk recorder before turning off the
power of the extension units. Refer to network disk recorder's the
Installation Guide and Operating Instructions (PDF file) for more
information.

Stop recording by the network disk recorder.
Stop any recording that is being done.
Stop any playback that is being done.

Turn off the [POWER] switch on the rear of the network
disk recorder.
Check that the HDD access indicators are off before turning
the power off. The operate indicator goes off.

Turn off the [POWER] switch on the rear of the extension
unit.
Check that the HDD access indicators are off before turning
the power off. The operate indicator goes off.
Important:
Do not turn off the power until the HDDs are recovered in
RAID mode. Otherwise, data recovery may be disrupted.
When a unit is not in use a long period, unplug the power plug.
Be sure to turn the power on and operate once a week to
check recording and playback functionality.
