Problem
Poor print quality.
Void areas or lines appear on
printed text.
Cut quality is poor.
Media shifts when printing
frames around label causing a
slight misalignment of the
frame.
Print Queue Full

Cause
Ribbon and label media are
incompatible, or using an incorrect
label material and ribbon combination.
Dust or adhesives accumulated on
the printhead.
Media wiper dirty.
Ribbon wrinkling.
Cutter needs cleaning.
Media guides not adjusted correctly,
producing slack that allows the tape to
shift during printing.
Other jobs are printing or waiting to
print and no additional jobs can fit in
the queue.
Corrective Action
Verify the correct ribbon for
the label roll is loaded in the
printer.
Change the ribbon or label
combination.
Clean the printhead (see
"Cleaning the Printhead" on
page 88).
Replace media wiper (see
"Replacing the Media Wiper" on
page 89).
Tension the ribbon by rotating
the rewind spool (top spool) in
a downward direction until all
slack is removed.
Try another ribbon cartridge.
Clean the cutter (see "Cleaning
the Cutter Blade" on page 84).
Adjust media guides so they are
snug against the media. To make
fine adjustments to the frame, see
"Adjusting Print Offset" on page 5-

Wait for a job to complete printing
and try again.
