USB Connect
[MENU] > Function > USB Connect
Select the mode when connecting the receiver to a PC with a USB cable.
• Charge Only:
You can only charge the receiver using a USB cable.
• Serialport:
You can program the receiver, output D-STAR data, GPS information,
and remotely control the receiver using the CI-V commands.
• SD Card Mode*: You can transfer the files between the inserted microSD card and a
PC, using an USB cable.
*A confirmation dialog is displayed.
TIP: Application setting to output D-STAR data:
Configure the communication software as follows.
• Port:
COM port number that is used by the receiver.*
• Baud rate:
4800/9600 bps
• Data bit:
8 bit
• Parity:
none
• Stop bit:
1 bit
• Flow control:
Xon/Xoff
* Depending on the PC environment, the COM port number used by the receiver may
be higher than 5. In that case, use an application that can set it to higher than 5.
NOTE:
• Confirm that the "Internal GPS" is selected, when you output the received position
data.
([MENU] > GPS > GPS Set > GPS Select)
• While in the SD Card Mode, the receiver works not as a receiver but as a data storage
device. It temporarily stops recording and logging.
TIP: Removing the receiver in the SD card mode
1.
Click " ," and then click "Eject IC-R30."
2.
Confirm "Safe To Remove Hardware" is displayed, and then remove the USB cable
from the PC.
