Machine actions
There is a lot of ground co ee
under the brew group.
The machine grinds the co ee
beans but no co ee comes out.

Causes
Co ee is not suitable for automatic
machines.

This might occur when the machine
is automatically adjusting the dose.

This might occur when the machine

The co ee grind is too ne.
The circuit is not primed.

The automatic milk frother has been
inserted too far. No milk is being
suctioned.
The cups are cold.
Note:
These problems can be considered normal if the co ee blend has been
changed or if the machine has just been installed. In this case wait until the
machine performs a self-adjusting operation as described in section "Saeco
Adapting System".

Solutions
It may be necessary to change the type
of co ee or the co ee grinder settings.
Fill the water tank and prime the circuit
(chapter "Using the machine for the
rst time").
Clean the brew group ("Weekly clean-
ing of the brew group" chapter).
Prime the circuit (chapter "Using the
machine for the rst time").
Brew a few cups of co ee as described
in chapter "Saeco Adapting System".
Clean the dispensing spout.
Brew a few cups of co ee as described
in chapter "Saeco Adapting System".
Change co ee blend or adjust the
grind as explained in chapter "Adjust-
ing the Ceramic Co ee Grinder".
Prime the circuit (chapter "Using the
machine for the rst time").
Clean the brew group ("Weekly clean-
ing of the brew group" chapter).
Clean the dispensing spout and its
holes.
Let the Automatic Milk Frother cool
down. Slightly move it downwards.
Place it back in its proper seat.
Preheat the cups with hot water.
