Terminal does not start
No response from the
terminal

Action
Ensure that the battery charge state is not below the critically
low level. The terminal will not work if there is insufficient
charge remaining in the battery�
Connect terminal to a power source for at least 15 minutes
if terminal is below operational battery charge state�
Ensure that you press the
10 seconds, until the terminal back-light turns on�
Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to the base
and the terminal is charging�
Power off the terminal for 10 seconds.
Power on the terminal�
Retry the transaction�
Call Merchant Helpdesk if the problem persists�
Re-insert/swipe the card as per instructions in Section 3�
If there is still no response from the card reader power off the
terminal for 10 seconds�
Power on the terminal�
Attempt transaction again�
Call Merchant Helpdesk if the problem persists�
Remove the paper roll from the printer to ensure that
there is no paper caught�
If the existing paper roll is damaged in any way then replace
this with a new roll�
Verify that the printer door is properly latched.
Ensure that the battery charge state is not below the critically
low level�
Plug terminal to a power source�
If the problem continues, power off the terminal for
10 seconds�
Power on the terminal�
Print a sample receipt. This will confirm if the printer
is operational�
Call Merchant Helpdesk if the problem persists�
