Telephone problems

No display appears.
No dial tone.
You cannot link up with the
base station.
No ring on the handset.
Buzzing noise on my radio, TV,
computer or hearing aid.
Possible cause
The batteries may be flat or dead.
The handset may be switched off.
The telephone line cord may not
be plugged into the phone socket
or the base station or charger may
not be connected to the power
supply.
The base station may not be
connected to the power supply.
Is the display flashing
You are out of range of the base.
The batteries could be low or flat.
Your handset could be registered to
the wrong base.
The ringer volume may be
switched off.
Charger or base station may not be
properly connected.
Sometimes, your Synergy 3200
SMS can interfere with other
electrical equipment if it is placed
too close.
Solution
Recharge or replace the batteries.
Switch the handset on, see page 14.
Check that the telephone line cord
is plugged in and that the base
station and the charger are both
connected to the mains power and
is switched on.
Check that the mains power cable
is connected at the base and switched
on.

Move closer to the base station.
Charge the handset batteries or
replace them if necessary.
If using more than one base station,
check that you are connected to the
correct base.
To adjust the ringer volume on the
handset. See page 24.
Check that the base station is
plugged into the phone socket and
that both the charger and the base
station are plugged into the mains
power and switched on.
It is recommended that you place
your Synergy 3200 SMS and other
Synergy/ DECT GAP compatible
handsets at least one metre away
from such appliances to avoid any
risk of interference.
