9. MASTER SETTINGS

The group of settings explained in the following affect the entire SK-50.
Making the Settings
While holding down the MASTER button, press the NUMBER button (which corresponds to
the desired function printed below the button). Keep your finger on the MASTER button while
you then press either UP or DOWN until you have obtained the value you desire. The current
value for the setting is shown in the display.

1. MASTER TUNE (TUNE)
There may be times when you will wish to adjust the tuning of the SK-50 to match other
instruments that are being played in a group. MASTER TUNE can conveniently be adjusted at
such times.
The value for the setting corresponds to the frequency of the middle A key. The pitch will
become higher as you raise the value, and is lowered when the value is reduced. The
acceptable range extends from 415.3 to 466.2 hertz.
2. MASTER LEVEL (LEVEL)
This setting determines the overall volume that can be produced by the sound generating
portion of the instrument. The acceptable range extends from 0 to 127.
If every Part has its individual Part Level (
obtained from each Part will directly reflect the level you set here.
