The mute feature allows you to hear the other party while the
other party cannot hear you.
During a call, press M U T E on the handset. M U T E D will

be temporarily displayed on the screen, along with the
smaller M U T E icon.
Press M U T E again to resume the conversation.

M ICR O P H O N E O N will be temporarily displayed on the
screen.
R inger mute
You can mute the ringer temporarily when the telephone is
ringing.
Press O FF/CLE A R or M U T E to temporarily silence the

ringer. The next call will ring normally.
Call w aiting
If you subscribe to call waiting service from your telephone
company, you will hear an alert tone if there is an incoming
call while you're on another call. Press
the new incoming call. Press
the original call.
