Do not allow any sealant to come into contact
with the oil gallery.
17.Install:
• Cylinder head cover assembly
Cylinder head cover nut (10 mm:
"1"–"4")
38 Nm (3.8 m·kgf, 27 ft·lbf)
Cylinder head cover nut (8 mm:
"5", "6")
20 Nm (2.0 m·kgf, 14 ft·lbf)
Cylinder head cover bolt (6 mm:
"7"–"9")
10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)
TIP
Tighten the bolts and nuts in a crisscross pattern
in two to three stages.

18.Measure:
• Valve clearance
Out of specification  Adjust.
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE VALVE CLEAR-
ANCE" on page 3-5.
19.Adjust:
• Cam chain tensioner
TIP
Screw until the end surface of the screw "a" be-
comes flush with the end surface of the rod "b"
and tighten the locknut before installing the tim-
ing chain tensioner cap.
