Probable Cause
The pressure relief valve
in the heater tank has
been triggered (this
works to reduce the
damage to the appliance
if the outlet is blocked or
the unit is frozen.
When the relief valve
operates, a small rubber
ball is ejected.

The supply pressure
is below the minimum

Possible Remedy
Resolve the blocked
outlet, and replace the
tank assembly.
Replace.
Replace the flow Valve
assembly.
Contact local water
company.
Check the static water
pressure. Note! The
static pressure may
fall below minimum
requirement when other
appliances are drawing
water. For example, a
washing machine or
garden hose.
