Problem:
What does ARRHY SUSPEND mean?
Answer:
Certain conditions suspend arrhythmia analysis. When
suspended, arrhythmia conditions are not detected and
alarms associated with arrhythmias do not occur. This
signals that 20 of the last 30 seconds of ECG data is of
poor quality and arrhythmia interpretation is suspended.
This alarm generates a continuous system alarm until
the quality of the ECG signal improves. There is a visual
message (ARRHY SUSPEND) displayed in the patient
window and the event line. It is essential that this issue
is resolved to resume ARRHYTHMIA PROCESSING/
ALARMS.
Intervention:
Check lead placement.
Perform skin preparation.
