Access Method
Prompt
From the login prompt,
switch#
enter your username and
password.
From EXEC mode, use
switch(config)#
the configure terminal
command.
From global configuration
switch(config-if)#
mode, specify an interface
with an interface
command.
From global configuration
switch(config-subif)#
mode, specify a
subinterface with an
interface command.
From global configuration
switch(config-vrf)#
mode, use the vrf
command and specify a
routing protocol.
From EXEC mode, use
switch-red#
the routing-context vrf
command and specify a
VRF.
Understanding the Command-Line Interface
Exit Method
To exit to the login
prompt, use the exit
command.
To exit to EXEC mode,
use the end or exit
command or press
Ctrl-Z.

configuration mode, use
