Do not immerse in water. Do not clean with solvents.
The outside of the Adflo unit can be wiped clean if necessary.
If you suspect that the inside of the breathing tube is dirty, it must be changed.

7. SPARE PARTS / REPLACING SPARE PARTS

The spare parts list (see chapter 11).
NOTE! Only Adflo original spares must be used with this product, for Approvals to be valid and
to ensure correct functioning.

Changing spare parts

7.1 Battery changing, figure 10
1. Press in the battery latch on the lower right side of the Adflo unit (seen from behind when
the Adflo unit is on its back) and remove the battery.
2. Install the battery by hooking the left edge of the battery and then pressing in the battery so
that the latch engages correctly.
7.2 Filter changing, figure 11
1. Remove the filter cover by pressing in the latch in the centre right of the Adflo unit (seen
from behind when the Adflo unit is on the back).
2. Remove the used filter by lifting it out from the filter cover.
(NOTE! A used filter cannot be cleaned.)
3. Install a new filter in the filter cover.
4. Change the pre-filter if needed.
5. If necessary, clean or change the spark arrestor (metal net) on the base of the filter cover.
6. Put back the filter cover, with the filter installed, by hooking the cover on the left side of the
Adflo unit, and pressing the cover down so that the latch engages correctly.

7.3 Changing the face seal

The face seal should be changed when necessary, using the following procedure:
1. Remove the silver-coloured front from the welding head top.
2. Squeeze the clamps together and press down the plastic strip, which is sewn to the face
seal, through the helmet shell and remove the old face seal, figure 12.
3. Install the new face seal by fixing the plastic strip to the air deflector, as in figure 13.
NOTE! The face seal must be between the head top shell and the plastic strip.
4. Press the latch on the plastic strip up through the head top shell, figure 14, and check that
the pins on the head top shell are fixed in the two holes in the plastic strip, figure 15.
5. Continue installation by fixing the plastic strip along the sides of the head top shell, so that
it is locked mechanically between the head top shell and the half-moons on each side,
figure 16.
6. Lock the face seal by clamping the plastic strip with the silver-coloured front.
7. Adjust the face seal as in the "FITTING" chapter, to make it rest against your face with a
comfortable pressure on your temples.
