Board Installation

The Tomcat i810 uses a 64-bit data path from memory to CPU and can accom-
modate up to 512MB of SDRAM. The 168-pin DIMMs (Dual In-line Memory
Modules) must be of the 3.3V, unbuffered variety. The position of the notch in
the SDRAM key position will tell you whether or not a DIMM is unbuffered
(see the Figure 2-5 below). All installed memory will be automatically detected,
so there is no need to set any jumpers.

Some details of memory installation:

The mainboard supports 32MB, 64MB, 128MB SDRAM; and supports
256MB registered SDRAM DIMM modules*, but not in combination with
non-registered modules.
