ENGINE OIL
Check engine oil level each day before
operating the motorcycle.
1. Put the motorcycle on its center stand
on level ground.
'2. Check the oil level in the oil inspection
window (.3) on the lower right side of
the crankcase. The oil level should be
between the upper (I) and lower (2)

Recommended Oil Viscosity

viscosities shown in
the chart
below may be used when the average
temperature in your riding area is within
the indicated range.

USE HONDA 4-STROKE OIL OR AN
EQUIVALENT.
Use oruX-high detergent, premium quality
motor
oil
certified to meet or exceed
U.S. 'automobile manufactures' require-
ments for Service Classification SE or SF.
Motor oils intended for Service SE or SF
will show this designation on the container.
The use of special oil additives is unneces-
sary and will only increase operating
expenses.

level marks. If the inside of the -window
is dirty, turn the wiper (4) to clean the
window.
3. If oil is required, remove the filler cap
(5), add the specified oil up to the
upper level mark, and reinstall the filler
cap.
CAUTION'
.. Running the engine with insufficient oil
can cause serious engine damage.
