Symptom
The image quality is
poor.
The one-page
document is
received split into
multiple pages.
Cause
The machine is in manual receive
mode.
The document is not correctly
loaded on the sender's machine.
The drum cartridge is damaged.
The document glass of the
sender's machine is dirty.
The resolution setting on the
sender's machine is too low.
When scanned on the sender's
machine, the document was
enlarged for some reason.
Remedy
Receive the fax manually, or set Fax Receive
Mode to Auto Answer Fax.
Check with the sender.

Copy a document. If the image quality is poor,
replace the drum cartridge with a new one.

You can set the machine to process such a
document by using the Auto Reduce on Receipt
feature and a border limit value for page splitting.
According to the setting combination specified,
the received document is printed as follows:
Auto Reduce on
Receipt
"On"
Within Automatically
border limit reduces image
size and prints it
on one page.
Exceeding Splits data at
border limit equal ratio and
prints.
Auto Reduce on
Receipt
"Off"
Trims the portion
exceeding
standard size and
then prints.
