Port Configuration

Command: /cfg/port <port number>
[Port 1 Menu]
This menu enables you to configure settings for individual GbE2 Interconnect Switch ports.
This command is enabled by default.
The following table describes the Port Configuration Menu options.

Description
This option displays the Gigabit Ethernet Physical
Link Menu.
Sets the default VLAN number which will be used to
forward frames which are not VLAN tagged. The
default number is 1.
Sets a name for the port. The assigned port name
displays next to the port number on some
information and statistics screens. The default is set
to none.
Disables or enables VLAN tagging for this port. It is
disabled by default.
Disables or enables allowing only IP-related frames.
It is disabled by default.
Enables the port.
Disables the port. To temporarily disable a port
without changing its configuration attributes, refer to
the "Temporarily Disabling a Port" section, later in
this chapter.
Displays current port parameters.
